George, the connection that may exist that I am worried about is this: In November, Ancor anticipated recognizing SUN revenue in Q4, 1999. If Kumar is correct, Ancor will not be recognizing that revenue in Q4, 1999. What happened between November, 1999 and now to change Ancor's view of revenue recognition from SUN?
A change in accounting rules? A change in Ancor's revenue recognition policy. Was the 10Q a mistake because revenue never could be recognized until shipped by SUN to end-users, and SUN delayed doing that? A change in the Ancor/SUN relationship? Or something else?
I can see the stock price going down all week based upon slow leaks of this information (and speculation about its meaning), as some took profits on very weak volume, 10-15 points. Then, a combination of people flooding the exists as word of Kumar's statements spread like wildfire, and shorts piled on. The question that remains, however, is why is the revenue recognition changing? That is what the press release should identify in detail.
