There are TONS of homeless in the dot com area south of market SF. To be fair... it used to be much worse before the companies came in, but I wonder if the old "regulars" have been escorted or driven away to other areas of the city or if their situation has truly improved? It is such a shocking contrast its difficult to take sometimes. The infusion of cash does more good than harm there I think though. BTW I wanted to tell you I just got a yosemite license plate... you might want to look at the nature plates if you have a green car. My car is blue and this one looks nice... theres another blue whale tail (but its hard to see) and some others, the extra $$ you pay is donated to the cause, yosemite, coastline etc.
