I can not see Tivo, as an un-licensed entity, taking a piece of the pie I don't know, nor am I a lawyer, but I think the argument can be made that TIVO records the spectrum, but the playback is not on any public airwaves. It's just it's own wire and so they can manipulate the playback signal as they see fit before sending it to the TV. VCRs using tape are going to dissapear in the next few years to be replaced by VCRs on disk with recording to CROMs or DVDs for permanant copies. I would really like to see GMST address this type of appliance through partnership or aquisition or it will be just a niche which is replacable. TP
