market expectations
I think volatility will stay with us for awhile, be prepared for a lot of whipsawing, im going with rande's call of new money coming in monday (plus my yahoo indicator is back over $400 and heading higher now) so i feel we could have some big follow through from friday for monday and tuesday, wednesday, the focus will be towards ppi numbers coming out thursday, and cpi coming out friday, adding to the volatility, I expect to play january call options where availaible, , trying to buy support on the dips, my trading ideas right now are as follows- ( i will not be able to buy all of them, but i know there are some big winners here-would appreciate any feedback to help me narrow these picks)
inkt-internet favorite jbl-split rumor on thursday cra-biotech play, big announcement due 11am which could be "sell on the news" or something big that would rocket stock, emc-solid yhoo-earnings/split/ford news run, afci-fiber optic play, orcl-solid b2b, support at 97, cmrc-if market is hot, cmrc will be hot, affx-another biotech play-a lot of internet momo money going to biotechs, THIS WILL BE THE YEAR OF BIOTECHS IMO, personal no risk favorite, putting profits into bbh and holding long term, xced
bebe-in honor of american spirit table pounding (and he might be right) idc-cnbc power lunch, but if no new news, stock may sell off after power lunch, although last cnbc spot on idc last week sparked latest runnup
conclusion-market trying to break out, will big boys release the money? how much more profit taking is out there?
monday and tuesday should be good, wednesday will be "catch the breath" day as market goes into "number watch", looking for rande to add some "smellvision" to help us get through this week- volatility should be traders best friend!!
