PB, IMO Intel's geyserville may be a great technical feature which unfortunately will not add to the bottom line. This is because Intel already has too many speed grades, packaging types, bus speeds, and now is considering adding a new core designed specifically for dual power laptop configurations.

Even their laptop parts are still sold in multiple package types, are they not?

With well over 100 CPU parts, it makes future Gateways more likely to happen -- improperly forecasting demand for the multiplicity of parts.

AMD may waste a watt of power and lack the "changing speed on the fly" feature, but by not having a dual-power-specific core, they will save themselves the grief of bad forecasts.
