After further investigation on Agilent/HP, I found out through my father that HP (Agilent) and Phillips jointly own a company that goes by the name Lumileds Lighting. They are a direct competitor to CREE with their own products and their own technology. Lumiled's products are, or will be, used in stop lights and other end user markets. Their core product is not bought from CREE. There is more info on Lumileds here: hp.com I am wondering, however, if these LEDs are based on sapphire or SiC... Justin
