Web Site Banner Ads are a Joke when it comes to Revenue.....
When they pay 3 cents a click through,,,
High end 5 cents a click through,,,
If you're really lucky 7 cents a click through,,,
I refused to run an ad because i wanted 25 cents a click through for a really dense demographic group of click-throughs with a very high probability of sales.
The buyer refused to go higher than 7 cents.
I'm thinking, Shit, 50 thousand hits,(my monthly average) with a 3 percent click through rate, (high end)
and that's a whopping 107 dollars!
That doesn't even pay for my Mindspring Airtime!
I mean even if you multiplied that by 100 times..... and talking 5 million hits with a 2 percent click through,,,,
paying 5 cents a click through,,,, and my goodness....you have a website making 3 thousand dollars a month! whoooooeeeeee.
Geeze.
There are so many advertisers out there that want to pay you squat! All that matters is who has the traffic...and how you can divert that traffic....It's a crazy world! |
