Hello Ray,

I'm going to have to speak with SI management regarding getting a couple of new links with dynamic fearures installed here for this forum. One will be a dictionary link installed for you and Jay under the thread's title on every message.

Another will be a Visio white board feature with options for Corel Draw, for chalk talk. I don't think we're ready for Arcabus or AutoCad just yet.

One final feature will be a chat feature for both public and PM utilization using VoIP features that maybe we can get Jeff Pulver to recommend. Private voicechat sessions in the traditional "conference room" style would work well, don't you think?. Heck, there I go again, not thinking large enough. Why not throw in some video conferencing capabilities while we're at it?

Can you or anyone else here think of any other enhancements you'd like to see SI fund in the FCTF for our collective amusement? -g-

On the beach at San Diego, how nice. That's really sweet. The last time I fkew to SD I encountered a transformation of the mind that was tantamount to having a lobotomy, and didn't want to go home no more. Glad to see that you escaped the 'grip.'

Another one who leaves the brood, only run into traffic jams elsewhere and come running home in search of serenity on a road less traveled, eh?

As long as we remain a secret to the larger population, I think we'll be able to avoid much of the noise you've just experienced over there.

The Gildertech board potential is huge, no doubt, but it needs to do a couple of things to tighten things up and enhance the user's experience. The speed of the board is but one [extreme at times] problem, but one which if solved would eliminate several of the other thorns that exist there such as the traffic generated simply to discuss the speed. It's a vicious cycles by some measure.

The other areas speak for themselves I think. They need to improve data base and lookup capabilities, to name just one general area.

It sounds as though they are steeped in some deployment issues with their outsourcer that must be causing an enormous amount of grief whilst they await the completion of the site. Been there before in such matters, on both sides of the isle. The level of grief must really be high.

No big news this morning, say what? The two big announced merger intentions will engender some good discussion both here and on the Last Mile Thread over the next couple of days, I would think. Good to see you back here, btw.

Frank
