The market is irrational. It is saying that companies growing much faster than the average S&P 500 company should have a far lower valuation than the average PE of about 27.

OK, so we all concede that these companies are not growing over 100% per year anymore. There was no way that could continue. But 30-50% growth is still well above average and this should be reflected in the stock price. Maybe when the false blue-chip euphoria is over people will come to realize that.
