Present trenching results to date indicate that this structure is a single entity (kimberlite pipe),is at least 1,000 metres across and is diamondiferous. If the pipe is 1,400 metres in diameter would not be much of a stretch from information that is already public.
Your question was regarding tonnage and I gave you a calculation based on a specific diameter which is very conceivable. With regard to diamond values, we will have to wait for that one but all indications (yes publicly documented) are that diamonds found to date are of impeccable quality. Where do you think those diamonds came from - according to the National Post, it was not Mali (LOL). I don't remember Fipke finding surface diamonds in his grab samples or being able to uncover the surface of the Ekati pipes with a shovel !
I have answered your question, answer mine:
What do you think will be the total tonnage of kimberlite pipes on Rex's 100% leases across the minimum of four kimberlite provinces ?
