SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2000--In an exclusive deal that will make it easier for consumers to experience digital audio, RioPort Inc., a pioneer in the digital audio download market, today announced that Compaq Computer, the world's largest PC manufacturer and No. 1 U.S. desktop brand, is preloading RioPort's Audio Manager jukebox software on all new Compaq Presario desktop and laptop computers shipping domestically.
The RioPort Audio Manager is a powerful new software application that provides consumers with the easiest, most intuitive way to find, organize, download and playback digital audio files in either MP3 or Microsoft's Windows Media format.
The popular software can be minimized to fit neatly into the user's Presario desktop and includes an integrated Web browser for quickly searching and downloading digital audio tracks from the Internet.
