Phone.com and BuyNow.com to Offer E-commerce Transactions From Internet-Enabled Mobile Phones
One-stop Shopping on the Web Via MyPhone Mobile Portal Service
REDWOOD CITY and ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Phone.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHCM - news), a leading provider of mobile Internet software and services, and BuyNow.com, a premiere provider of Internet shopping and e-commerce services, today announced an agreement to deliver e-commerce services to Internet-enabled mobile phones through the Phone.com(TM) MyPhone(TM) service. This collaboration is designed to allow network operators to realize new e-commerce revenue streams by offering their MyPhone subscribers the opportunity to purchase books, videos, music, computer hardware and software products using their Internet-enabled mobile phones.

BuyNow.com has built e-commerce solutions for some of the most recognizable names on the Internet in the computer, software, manufacturing and multimedia products industries, such as Philips Electronics North America Corp., Fujitsu Computer Products of America and UMAX. With the BuyNow application, network operators will have a compelling addition to the robust MyPhone portal offering, complementing existing applications such as real-time stock quotes, news feeds, weather updates, horoscopes, email, address book and calendar.
