Ashanti served court notice by shareholders seeking new management London--Jan 10--Ashanti, the Anglo-Ghanaian mining group, said on Monday it has been served with proceedings to remove the current board by four of its shareholders led by Adryx Mining and Metals Ltd. Ashanti said it intends "to vigorously defend these proceedings". The first court hearing will be at the Ghanaian High Court on Jan 13 and the company said a further announcement will be made in due course.
