E-Sync Networks Announces Beta Release of TotalChain, a new XML-based End-to-End Web Supply Chain Solution
TRUMBULL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2000--As part of its strategy to help corporate clients lower costs and facilitate the flow of crucial information throughout the supply chain, E-Sync Networks, Inc. (OTC BB: ESNI; www.e-syncnet.com) today announced that a beta version of TotalChain, its new end-to-end web supply chain solution, will be available for testing in February. The company also confirmed that the product will be available commercially during the second quarter of this year.
TotalChain will enable companies to collaborate over the Internet with their business partners, suppliers, service providers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers, by facilitating the secure exchange of information among disparate systems. For example, a manufacturer's material resource planning system will be able to transparently communicate with a supplier's planning system in a seamless and integrated manner.
What distinguishes E-Sync Networks' web supply chain offering from similar offerings is its ability to combine the following features - providing a true, end-to-end solution:
-- Browser, e-mail, or fax user interface
-- Java-based web server
-- Client/server authentication with attribute security certificates
-- Online secure billing/transaction tracking
The ability to integrate seamlessly with legacy systems and leading enterprise resource planning applications, including Baan, J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, and SAP -- Warehouse and transportation fulfillment
-- Data integrity and format with eXtensible markup language (XML)
''E-Sync Networks is on track to deliver the market's most comprehensive business-to-business e-commerce solution. No other company is offering an end-to-end solution with embedded security,'' says Jonathan Rubin, CEO of E-Sync Networks. ''Our hosted web supply chain solution will help our corporate clients reduce their costs and provide better service to their customers by speeding information flows.''
E-Sync Networks will initially focus on the two vertical markets - insurance and distribution - that build on the company's established track record with customers in these sectors.
