dorine...re: "fortuna. y2k lies"

please read the gtw article that you included in your post....as it backs up fortuna comments:

"the company (gtw) late on wednesday...spotty and unreliable supplies.....slumping demand from business customers due to y2k date change"

an analyst only "speculates" based on his opinion...no sec violation....if you disagree, that is your opinion...

no conspiracy against dell or any other company to defraud or scare the small investor. if you are scared that is due to the performance of dell stock....if you are secure then buy more dell stock...

dell in all probability may go lower and test 44, which should bring it into a more oversold area....

maybe some consolation to wbm, who pointed out that merrill was buying dell jan50 calls when the stock broke 50 last week....looks like ml may be wrong as the stock may struggle to move beyond 50 by jan options expiration....kelley points out strong ytd return, which if dell doesn't reverse itself in the next two weeks will be a ytd loss....

not trying to scare, just being realistic...

wonder why msd silent....but i guess it's not his job anymore to defend the stock/shareholder value....maybe kemble is correct that dell will buy ibm, and cpq, gtw, hpw are finished, as is emc...or perhaps he is so blinded and emotionally attached to a stock that he is a bit mypoic!

depending on your belief, the decision is yours, it could be another dell buying opportunity....or the continuation of a flat trend until "mikey" speaks out!

dell a great company....but you own the shares

good luck, as always ed a.
