Hi to all..

In the news...

Manhattan Minerals Corp MAN

Shares issued 25,821,343 2000-01-07 close $5.2

Monday Jan 10 2000

Robert Bishop, writing in his Fax-Alert No. 153 (Dec. 20), says there should be no shortage of news from Manhattan's Tambo Grande project in the next month. Mr. Bishop recommended the stock in March, 1998, at $3, and again in June, 1999, at $3.85. It was $4.50 at the time of his current report. Mr. Bishop says the company's activities at Tambo Grande include two drills working to expand the oxide gold deposit that overlies TG1, two more at work on the underlying sulphide deposit, and one drill exploring outlying targets. In addition to drilling results, metallurgical news should be out in late January. Further, six major firms are scheduled to visit the project. The editor of Gold Mining Stock Report says Manhattan should benefit greatly from the passage of the tax-loss season. Mr. Bishop cautions, however, that Manhattan's shares have moved from institutional to more nervous retail hands. He calls Manhattan an "obvious takeover target."
