ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2000--Triton Network Systems announced today it has signed a three-year, multi-million dollar agreement to supply Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. (ART) (NASDAQ:ARTT), with Triton Network's 100 Mbps Invisible Fiber(TM) Internet and SONET OC-3/SDH STM-1 radios.

Deployed in consecutive point networks, the Triton Networks Invisible Fiber(TM) product line delivers fiber-quality service over RF frequencies in the 20 GHz - 40 GHz range. The point-to-point-to-point network configuration, a self-healing ring, offers high reliability for both SONET/SDH and Fast Ethernet, while maintaining the Invisible Fiber product line's revolutionary high speeds and high density deployments.

"The carrier-class performance of the Triton Network's radios deployed in our 100 Mbps metropolitan area network in San Jose (Calif.) gives ART great confidence in entering into a long-term contract," said Robert McCambridge, ART President and COO. "As we accelerate our build-out of our first 40 domestic markets, Triton Network's Fast Ethernet and OC-3 radios will help position ART as a leading service provider delivering broadband access at speeds up to 155 Mbps."

ART is the nation's first broadband wireless IPSP offering a carrier-class, cost-effective, very high-speed metropolitan area access solution to Internet service providers (ISP), inter-exchange carriers (IXC), on-site service providers (OSP), and application service providers (ASP).

"This deal, a watershed in the broadband fixed wireless marketplace, establishes ART in a leadership position as a provider of both 100 Mbps and SONET OC-3/SDH STM-1 access services," said Skip Speaks, President and Chief Executive Officer of Triton Network Systems. "Working with ART, using the speed and reliability of transmission over Triton Network's radios combined with their ease and density of deployment, we will establish new benchmarks for fiber quality broadband wireless services allowing ART's customers to keep pace with the information and e-commerce revolution."
