Model Technology Increases Dominance With More Than 50 Percent Of the VHDL Simulation Market
PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Model Technology Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mentor Graphics® Corp. (Nasdaq: MENT - news), today announced that its ModelSim(TM) simulator has captured 53 percent of the VHDL simulation market for application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). According to the most recent study by Dataquest, Inc., the leading source of electronic design automation (EDA) market intelligence, 1998 sales of Model Technology's powerful ModelSim simulator were more than twice those of its nearest competitor and substantially greater than the sales of all other competitive VHDL simulation tools combined.
