Good question. I usually don't buy options. I bought options this time because I looked into the short term future and thought I saw a really good stock ready to keep on rolling. I have all I want now (really more than I should have) and am content to face the future with Dr J on my playing field. Options, if used indiscriminately, can wreak a lot of havoc in one's investment program.
