Michael:

While not necessarily our vindication, I too cannot begin to express my excitement over this convergence with AOL and Time Warner.

I became interested in DSL in '96 as it became more and more apparent that your PC, or some variation thereof, would become the heart of Home Entertainment.

All that was required are "the pipes", and there is significant pressure to ensure that IMO.

Would not be the least surprised to see a Disney/Yahoo alliance over even another wave of telecom/cable mergers/alliances.

All this puts WSTL in the position I believed it was in '96... quite a roller coaster ride, but funny enough, my initial purchase in '96 was at 9 7/8 - right where we are now, but on the cusp of who knows what.

Would sure like to see some sanity in the markets tho - certainly prefer up 100 pts, down 100 points to a renewal of the lunacy we are seeing....

Looking forward to 20th report - if past experience is any indication, MZ will probably manage expectations as this little fire begins to burn hotter and hotter.

Regards,

Dave
