This news from VISA doesn't seem to be something new. I bought beds for my sons about a year ago from a place called The Bedroom Superstore and they seemed to have the same thing. I was told to write a check, they passed it through a reader, then they told me to write "VOID" on the check, and that was it. The amount was debited from my account a day or two later.

Anyone know what the diff. might be?
