Contemplating A New-England Winter Barbecue The Day Before Y2K

Something primal clicked in my brain that afternoon and I hastened to the U-Haul on Route One. Lugging my propane tank up to the chain-link fence, I encountered a group of about ten people standing with their tanks.
"You all are having a new year's Barbecue too?" I queried.
