Edwarda - re: Gardner's resignation, they were sad he departed, but at the same time, he didn't have much impact on their day-to-day operations. Gardner's main responsibility was to oversee the implementation of their re-designed sales initiative. However it was the regional directors and managers that did the legwork. Whether or not they reported to Gardner, the sales cycle still goes on. A concern that was mentioned was the potential for the new VP Field Operations to change current sales tactics.

Thanks for clearing up last quarter's preannouncement and ensuing events. From the research reports I read, they claimed BMCS gave their clients incentives to close some deals in order to make last quarter's original estimates.

This year should be a boom for software stocks, and network management is a very hot sector. I wouldn't want to be out of BMCS at this time. I have 1000 shares 44 7/8.
