Unique Broadband Systems, Inc. Announces Teaming Agreement Signed With Hughes Network Systems
MARKHAM, ON, Nov. 16 /CNW-PRN/ - Further to the Company's press release of November 3, 1999, Unique Broadband Systems, Inc. (VSE: UBS - news) announced today that its partner in the teaming agreement which was recently signed is Hughes Network Systems a division of Hughes Electronics Corporation of El Segundo, California USA.
The two companies are working together to develop, manufacture, market and sell products to the emerging digital radio market. The teaming agreement calls for Unique Broadband Systems to support a contract bid under which Unique Broadband Systems will design and integrate digital radio systems and provide manufacturing for portions of the system upon contract award. Hughes Network Systems will provide systems design support, manufacturing and sales and service to the customer. Hughes Network Systems has also issued a Purchase Order to Unique Broadband Systems for initial prototype development of digital radio equipment with delivery in Q2 2000.
