Mike,

Gladly. The assumptions I am using have changed a lot so a direct comparison isn't applicable but here is what it shows at present.

85 M. shares of Veritas worth $12.5 Billion. A question on share number as rumor is SEG has unloaded 5 million share recently. I am assuming this is true.

SNDK and ZOOX worth $721 million.

Remaining Seagate Software worth $250 million.

Cash net of debt. $712 million. This number is 3 months old and will depend on buybacks and sales of VRTS.

I'm using $4.1 billion of unrealized capital gains taxes to reduce the stock holdings. This is using a 35% tax rate. I'm trying to be quite conservative here.

Dragon value is zero.

Number of shares outstanding is also an unknown. I am using last Q's 208M number which I'm hoping has come down a lot.

The net using these assumptions is that the disk drive business is valued at negative $6 a share.

Now you can see why I don't post this much!
