That's all fine and dandy Jeff, but the fact remains that Jim trotted down to the police station BEFORE the police had any real interest in interviewing him.

Again, no, that's not what happened. The police contacted Jim after first seeing him on WVIT. FYI, Jim had done an internship there recently so he was already familiar to WVIT.
