what a poorly written and clearly the writer does not understand the ipo market. Many questions arise from that situation ? starting with the fact that if Value America were indeed a ?buy,? as the Robbie Stephens analyst recommended May 4 when the stock touched an intraday high of close to $40 per share, then why hadn?t the underwriter priced it at $40 ? or even $50 or $60 ? when it took the company public only 18 trading days earlier? msnbc.com clearly the writer does not understand that current ipo's come out with few shares in the hope of attaining decent market valuation to use the stock at a later date. at one time stocks were priced at ipo to be the expected trading price, but that has not happened in the last couple of years.
