Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary (copyright 1981 by G. & C. Merriam Co.),

Mine is copyrighted two years earlier. But that's probably not the explanation. I've been had. The title on the front cover is "Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary." Upon close inspection of the title page, it is "based on the broad foundations laid down by Noah Webster."

Not the real McCoy.

And by the way, I forgot that it's Noah, not Daniel Webster.
If you had used your effectivity, you would have picked up on that. :)

Continue gloating anyhow. You've earned the right. :)
