FRANKFURT, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ - Nortel Dasa and Nortel Networks (NYSE/TSE:NT) will be demonstrating their leadership of the Internet revolution at CeBIT 2000 from two stands located in Hall 17 at stand F13 and in Hall 11 at stand D62. Nortel Networks is creating the high
performance Internet by delivering high-speed and reliable business class Internet solutions.

Nortel Networks' initiatives since CeBIT 99 have included: the provision of a high performance IP packet network for Telia in Sweden; the launch of an Internet Telephony strategy for enterprises based on open standards that unifies telephony and data; and Qwest, the first service provider to commit to deploying the OPTera LH system, part of the OPTera portfolio of Optical Internet technology.

In addition, Nortel Networks has announced the introduction of a `New World' routing and Internet
Protocol (IP) software called Open IP Environment; has made acquisition announcements including Clarify, Periphonics and Qtera; and introduced a set of end-to-end solutions for the application service provider (ASP) market.

At CeBIT 2000, the two Nortel Networks stands will have a mix of live and multi-media presentations on the four pillars that are the foundation of the high performance Internet. The main stand will be located in Hall 17 at stand F13. The second stand is in Hall 11 at stand D62.
