Well, I can handle the public confrontation, but I got tired of getting insulting private messages, where one can say anything at all without risk of being ejected from SI. I guess I did not need to read them, but you can still see the first line even before deleting them, things like "You sicko ignorant moron, why don't you shoot yourself.."etc. And there were several per day for a while. OK, enough of that. The Old Testament Book of Proverbs already commented on situations like that over two millennia ago.

I was just reflecting on what it's like to be caught in millennial financial madness and suffering somewhat therefrom, and I'll take this any day over wondering for several years when the Selective Service and the Army finally was going to succeed in getting me shot to pieces in some quasi-imperial adventure.
