Interesting point on liquidity but I guess I still don't understand. I always thought liquidity was a function of both price and float. Obviously, the float is quite large but the fact that the price is going up is the only hindrance to liquidity. Trade to trade fluctuations don't really impact liquidity per se. Presumably, if the price keeps going up then liquidity will be reduced and a split might be considered but I fail to see how a poorly timed trade can affect liquidity. I really doubt that there are any institutions out there that would refuse to take a position in EMC based on that argument; however, I think for a stock that is less volatile this might be an issue.
