Ligand may not have had another press release or piece of news for this particular date, but it's had huge news recently, and the implications from that news are still fresh -- worthy of discussion, clarification, and institutional interest.
Recent events have taken much of the risk out of this stock. Of course, the big unknown is still the ABC trial results, but that's what risk/reward investing is all about.
Let's hope that after the panel, Ligand closes near the high for the day.
