Tommy,

From a trial that I took about 18 months ago, I decided that Wall Street City didn't have anything special to offer over and above what was available for no charge elsewhere on the net. Besides, they had no compelling writers or observers of the market on whom I could place any reliance. I also believe that they are tied into Telescan and too much of their push and context was geared in my view toward selling that service, not as much to providing meaningful content.

With respect to the content war you mentioned, I think that MSN (Microsoft Network) MoneyCentral would be a good website for you to look at. This site formerly carried a monthly charge, but is now free. It includes the usual set of numbers and opinion columns one expects and gets on other super sites, but it also has a very good fundamental search capability (includes the items you mentioned for example) that doesn't quite measure up to Value Line. However, MoneyCentral is an EXCEPTIONAL bargain when compared to VL's price. MarkeyGuide and Yahoo, other free mega-sites, are also good at presenting fundamental data and company/competitive/sector information similar to MSN as well.

I think the wheel and hub approach you mentioned or some variant thereof would be a good basic approach to consider unless something better develops out of your efforts to improve the DWA site. For example, I use fundamental analysis software that brings me with a single click to any one of a number of mega-sites I can select, right to the page(s) for the specific stock I'm studying, and then returns me to the analysis software when I'm ready. This is a great convenience and would allow a DWA user to jump back and forth to other sites of their choice while remaining anchored to your site.

As for the DWA site, unless it's already there and I've missed it (still exploring you know) I'd like to see a feature implemented where I can toggle for R/S between the DJ, the NYSE Index, a mid-cap and a small cap index and/or the NASDAQ Index for a given stock. I'd also like to be able to see PnF R/S charts that compare various indicies; i.e. - NYSE vs. NASDAQ, to get an indication of where the action is on the field, which team (index) has the ball and how likely a turnover may be.

Lastly, some basic TA capability would be helpful. For example, I like to look at Bolinger Bands and RSI (Wilder's) when considering options and find a site like AskResearch (this is free and they also include other TA indicators and option chains) very informative in that respect. That level of TA would be useful IMHO within DWA.

Hope that helps.
