Very interesting thought! Something that I guess we need to pay close attention to in the conf call. Given AMD's track record analysts may put more weight on what Intel says about AMD than what AMD says about AMD.

My first instinct on volatility is to sell calls (the premiums are real nice). But in the current case I see the quarter coming above all analyst expectations.

At the same time, I am a little concerned that there is no one on this thread anymore with a bearish perspective (a sensible one).
