BB to a regular NASDAQ listing is not the same as your AMEX to NASDAQ example.

The former -- what SCKT is about to do -- is more likely to raise prices, since it allows in institutional investors whose guidelines may prevent them from investing in unlisted stocks. And on a financial and psychological level it suggests a company past its problems, ready to move up. Also some brokerages make buying unlisted stocks (or is that just penny stocks?) more difficult (as someone on this list indicated) .

I only know if one example of a BB to NASDAQ move, and that was a company (now gone) called Encore Computer (ENCC). It soared when the change happened -- something like from 1.5 to over 6 if I remember rightly. Which is not to say that the same rules apply to SCKT which has already soared faster than many of us even hoped.

'course I'm the guy that thought SCKT would not move much UNTIL it got listed. I'm happy to have been wrong on that one!
