I have to disagree with you there... DSL has not done a very good job establishing themselves as a list mile technology for the home. DSL, even after it's pilot stages has also been less reliable and more expensive. More and more people I know are going with cable modems. People are more interested in faster and more reliable internet access. In my opinion, a major reason for this merger was to avoid long term market loss to the growing use of cable internet access, which ATHM has positioned themselves well. Especially when TV and the Web merge as one.
