I'm in Fairfax, Virginia, which is metro D.C. A "bedroom community" for D.C., a lot of government workers, but increasing high-tech stuff, too, e.g., AOL (guess they're moving next year), Orbital (what's left of it), Mobil Oil (or did they move when they merged with Exxon?), stuff like that. Telecom stuff, defense contractors. The only thing that struck me was that the lady said "we've never seen it this dead." Of course, we bought a new house in October, only goes to show how reliable I am as a contrary indicator.<g>
