I understand Enron is deploying Avici terabit routers for OC-192 traffic in their network. There is terrific competition in the core router sector between Cisco, Juniper, Lucent and Avici. It is not necessary for Nortel to compete in this space. They make lots of money by dominating the optical space. They have good routers at the edge.
