Perhaps you do think experience more important than I. But I think not. I instead think you rely too much on false analogies to justify overlooking character.

You are correct that I would not hire a baseball manager who knew little of the game, etc. But you err in looking so low on the totem pole in search of an analogue to the Presidency. President Bush had it correct in explaining the insignificance of his son's intellectual lightness of being. The key to the presidency, he said, is choosing good people and learning to delegate and trust them to steer properly in the their area of expertise. Keyes has this ability, I think better than all others because he would choose people whose talents are excellent and who have good character.
