DSP based design vs. ASIC based design

There is no clear difference between the two. Both consist a DSP core, a dedicated logic core, and a CPU core. I don't think that you can draw a clear line between what is a DSP design what is an ASIC design. The two are converging. ASIC has to become more programable, and DSP has to become more resource efficient.
