Hi Paul and All,
Here is an interesting bit of information. Recently I saw an
article in a finacial paper from India.It is about the market share
for soft drinks for various companies.
Pepsi =+26%
Coke =+13%

As you can see Pepsi is leading Coke by a wide margin. I am sure
this is the case in Russia as well,since Pepsi has been there even
before the collapse of communism,when they were Soviet Union.I heard
Pepsico was using the barter system with the Soviets then,as there
were severe restrictions on currency.For example PepsiCo was bartering
Concentrates for Vodka, I am sure things have changed now.I dont know
the size of these markets in dollars terms, but since these emerging
countries are the ones who are growing their GDP in excess of +7% or
more,eventually we will see the benefits.
