jmac, there seems to be very few long term investors on the thread any longer. The majority appear to have an investment window predicated on the next options expiry date or their ability to withstand a margin call. This being the case, it's no wonder an event such as the upcoming earnings report is regarded through a filter of terror or avarice.

I'm looking at the earnings report as an important indicator of the future prospects for Q, not as an event of extreme significance in and of itself. It's possible a pro-forma p&l may be presented which eliminates the unprofitable handset division. In that case we could possibly see margins approaching Intel's or Cisco's. I also expect to see confirmation of the mature voice over wireless Tornado, and indications of a newly hatched HDR Tornado.

The market may choose to ignore these indicators and temporarily sell Q off, or it may quickly double Q's valuation as it did last quarter. We have no control over this, nor can it be predicted/timed with any degree of confidence. But long term, I am increasingly convinced that Q will prosper beyond our imagination and continue reward its shareholders in extraordinary fashion.

jmho,
