I guess alot of you are very short on memory on this thread. We had a very similar market in late 1998 and we saw alot of stocks plument very quickly into early Sept and Oct. And within 1 month the FED had let up on interest rates and the market had turned over. It was a giant correction and it took place in about 10 days or so. Ebveryone was just as negative then as well.

I do not see more than another 5% correction total in both the NAZ and QCOM. I see postive earning announcements coming. the delay in the earning was due to the fact that they had to account for the sale of the handset division and I guess it turned out a little more messy than they had thought and it is taking time to sort it out right.

I will say one thing. Margin and borrowing is your worst emeny in a market downturn. It is one thing to get rid of margin and yet another whole thing to get into cash. I would get rid of as much margin as you can and I would hold stocks thru the downturn. Unless we had 40-50% correction, it just does not make sense to time the market and try to get out and then back in. Too much lost by false tops and bottoms and commissions.

Just my two cents worth.
