Thanks for a substantive reply. I don't think that SGI's troubles are from McCracken's salary, I just don't understand why an executive gets paid anything at all to show successive quarters of disaster. It's a general principle which applies to many excecutives, not just in SGI, either.

The most interesting thing which you said was:

As an "owner" of SGI, I am interested in its future. When did SGI increase its revenue and profits ten fold under McCracken? SGI's growth was under previous management, as far as I can tell, and that's what scares me. I don't remember any success since McCracken took over. Could you (or anyone) fill me in?

Incidentally, I do think it a good thing if the employees like McCracken, personal loyalty sometimes encourages good people to stay on with a company when things look a little glum.
