MANASSAS, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2000--SyCoNet.com, Inc. (OTC BB:SYCD - news), the leading U.S. distributor of Anime (Japanese animated) videos and DVDs, is pleased to announce the appointment of its technical team.

Mr. Robert Costner, Director of Network Operations, is responsible for the Company's network and IT strategy and infrastructure, including all e-commerce and IT platforms, Internet access, web hosting, and content update processes. Mr. Costner has over 20 years of computer programming and network environment experience.

In addition to implementing technology, Mr. Costner has worked as a consultant for many companies and his collaborative efforts with them resulted in millions of dollars of additional revenue for his clients. He has also built an ISP from the ground up and grew it to several thousand users and developed software for e-mail systems for corporate clients.

Mr. Costner holds a BS in Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Scott Murphy, Director of Web Development, is responsible for the technical design, including scripting and CGI elements of the company's websites. Previous to joining SyCoNet.Com, Mr. Murphy held a management position at KPMG where he led a project to create an intranet portal service that allows employees to access a complete library of tax services across the entire corporation worldwide.

Prior to KPMG Mr. Murphy coordinated all user access and system security for University of West Virginia. Mr. Murphy holds a BA from Davis and Elkins College.

Mr. Keith Impink, Creative Director, is a professional artist and web designer who is responsible for all aspects of the look and feel of the Company's corporate and e-commerce websites, and for the company's marketing and convention materials.

In addition to making our websites visually appealing, one of Keith's primary roles will be to ensure that the customer interface on our e-commerce sites is logical, easy to navigate, and conducive to the closing of sales. Mr. Impink's experience in the Digital Arts field extends back to 1986 when he did commercial work on an Apple 2E computer.

He has held several positions managing the creative functions for of several companies with a strong online presence, including the high-traffic site www.oscarknows.com where he held the position of Creative Director and was primary Webmaster for two years, and MP Mountanos, Inc. where he was Director and Webmaster.

Prior to the advent of the Internet, Mr. Impink was a freelance commercial artist for over 20 years, designing t-shirts, album covers, convention materials, and marketing literature for a diverse range of clients including Hewlett Packard, BMW, the American Heart Association, Capitol Records, and for top rock bands such as The Grateful Dead and Lynard Skynard.
