Mr. Rob Goehring reports
Image Power has introduced its free quick faxing for Web surfers to anywhere in North America. Users of this newest service do not have to be registered subscribers of FaxPC, but can send faxes using FaxPC's new one-page QuickFax. The advantage of FaxPC's QuickFax service is the ability to communicate directly from the Internet to fax machines anywhere in the continental United States and Canada. This service is available immediately from the FaxPC Web site at www.faxpc.com.
Internet users can now send the equivalent of an E-mail to individuals or businesses that are not connected to the Internet, using a fax machine as the receiving device.
"We are pleased to extend this offer to both current subscribers and visitors to our site," said Rob Goehring, Internet development manager at Image Power. "We wanted to use QuickFax to demonstrate the ease-of-use and cost savings of Internet faxing. Of course we would like to have QuickFax users eventually sign up for FaxPC, and we feel that this is a great way to introduce the benefits of our services to potential subscribers."
For more regular users, Image Power is offering its FaxPC value-added premium services. These services include multiple page faxing from the desktop and 50 minutes of faxing in continental U.S. and Canada for just $5.95 per month. There is a one-time $10 activation fee and additional time is charged at just 10 cents per minute. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
About FaxPC
FaxPC is a universal messaging service provided by Image Power, a leading developer of powerful still image compression technology and products for the desktop, embedded and Internet imaging markets. FaxPC deploys the company's core compression technologies providing the benefit of faster transmission times and reduced storage space for black and white images. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, B.C.
The FaxPC premium services offer subscribers a single local telephone number and a single place to receive, review and organize all their E-mail, voice mail, paging and fax messages. Subscribers can then play back any message on their PC, over the Internet or retrieve them by phone. A small monthly subscription fee to FaxPC provides all the required functionality and includes a significant number of long-distance minutes for outbound faxing. FaxPC now offers the convenience of a free quick fax where one page outbound fax messages can be sent from the Web to any fax number in the continental U.S. For more information about the FaxPC services, visit www.faxpc.com.
WARNING: The company relies on litigation protection for "forward-looking" statements.
