Do you know of the poet Gerald Stern? My favorite poem of his is called Grapefruit. It's a poem about him standing in front of his kitchen sink, looking out the window, and just going into ecstasy over this grapefruit eating experience. He's got juice dripping down his arm, off his elbow...It should be read with a gradually accelerating manic pace.
