OT DS:
(while laughing) Had I discovered the secret of market timing, I would have gone short (for the first time in my life) last year when CPQ hit 50. I do, however, appear to have the midas touch when it comes to _adding_ to my positions in the few ADR positions I hold, one of which I definitely consider a "king," STM. Other than my odd ability to pick up shares of some ADRs at great prices, my market timing is basically restricted to, "Great, some extra money, now what should I add to or initiate a position in."
End of the year comparison? Well, given that most of what I hold qualifies as gorillas or kings, even though I have held them longer than the book, a better comparison would be your kings vs. my ADRs.
BTW, I sure wish Geoffrey Moore had consulted with a primatologist before coming up with his anthropoid ape pecking order. A chimpanzee would have been **much** better from a behavioral level. Even a baboon would be better. A gorilla? Docile, gentle, cooperative.
