They could spin out MCAD, or spin out WC, as Joel suggested. But they might be planning on leveraging for WC sales the access ProE gives them to customers. There are other competing products which may or may not be better. But as we know from MSFT, it's not the product so much as the business model (marketing). So PMTC could in effect trade ProE sales for WC sales, discounting or giving it away in return for opening a WC account. That may explain last q's results.
