SLIC has made MBE laser production economically feasable by use of the U.S. Air Force DMS technology which I understand monitors temperature and other elements of the wafer production process. SLIC has an exclusive license the the DMS patent and SLIC claims that with this and other state of the art production techniques they can produce a better product at a fraction of the cost. Additionally SLIC has the exclusive license to the Northwestern University aluminum free laser diode which is claimed to produce a higher powered laser with greater life and reliabilty. Now i'm certainly not as well informed as many of you about laser physics. I'm simply an investor. I rely on others to educate me about a company's technological potential. From where I sit SLIC has an exciting company that could yield to me a large return on my investment. I'm interested in learning more about these companies from an investors point of view. Too many people who post on this board take offense when someone criticises ther stock. Hey if my investment is potentially in trouble or if there is a better place to put my money I want to hear about it. My comments re SDLI and SLIC are made to stimulate discussion and help all of us as investors to make the right decision. I suggest you all adopt the same attitude and not get so defensive in response to any post that is critical of one of the companies in which you hold stock.
